Alfonso has just confirmed that George Clooney will be joining Sandra Bullock as the leads on 'Gravity'. Merry Christmas! Jamie has begun work on Alfonso Cuaran's new sci-fi movie as concept designer and 3D modeller. Jamie has been assigned with designing a new interior dashboard and instrument interface for the SMART car. Jamie has written a 4-page article about how he created the A/SRH-C1 concept weapon for '3D Artist' magazine. His design appears in December's Issue (22). The advert is featuring in '3D World', '3D Artist', 'MacWorld' and 'Mac User' magazines. The C.R.A.B. robot has been included in a fantastic double-page-spread in November's issue of '3D World' magazine, featuring in the magazine's very first 'IN FOCUS' section. A new project section has been added for the Assault/Sniper Rifle design here, and a teaser video has been uploaded to YouTube. A project for the ultimate Gaming & Gadget Chair design has been added here, and a short animation of the chair in action has been uploaded to YouTube. A short video has been added to YouTube demonstrating the graphic design of the computer/spaceship interface from the video of 'The Void'. The Cobra Venom project has had a making-of video added. A selection of test footage has been compiled to illustrate the process involved in creating the final 'Escape' video. The making-of video can be seen on YouTube. 'The Void' animation has a making-of video to accompany it. It consists of a variety of test renders and WIP footage, and can be seen here. This project originally developed from a number of space-craft concepts. Due to the complexity of the environment models and the sheer scale of the project, the animation took many months to create. A dedicated project page for the 'Range Speeder' design and 'The Void' animation have been added here. The final labour-of-love can be viewed on YouTube. Maxon, makers of 3D software 'Cinema 4D', have featured an article about the Cobra Venom concept car on the Maxon website. A video slideshow of the Cobra Venom concept car has been added to Jamie's YouTube Channel. BBC 'Top Gear' magazine has published a multi-page article about the 'New Bus For London' TFL competition, featuring the designs from the runners-up and winners. You can view the article here. Two short teaser videos of the Cobra Venom concept car, created before work began on the longer 'Escape' animation have been added here and here. Jamie was invited to present his winning design for the new London Bus to an audience at the 'London Transport Museum' in Covent Garden, along with the other 3 winners and runners up. You can view the video of the presentation on YouTube. The 3D animation 'Escape' showcasing the Cobra Venom car design has finally been completed. BBC 'Top Gear' website have featured an online article about the design. Online magazine 'iMotor' have included the video on their site, as have 'Pistonheads'. Jamie has been awarded joint second position in the 'New Bus For London' TFL competition by London Mayor Boris Johnson, winning £10,000. BBC 'Top Gear' magazine have featured a very complimentary full-page article dedicated to the Cobra Venom concept car. 'Revista' magazine have also included a full-page article about the Venom. Jamie has received an invitation from Transport For London regarding the 'New Bus For London' design competition he entered last month with his London Navigator concept. The awards ceremony will take place in London's Westminster district in December. 'GT Max' magazine has a fantastic 4-page spread dedicated to the Cobra Venom this month. There is also a full-page article in 'Playboy' magazine. Following last month's Cobra Venom web articles, a number of printed articles have also surfaced in this weeks 'Auto Express' and 'Shortlist' magazines. Jamie has paid homage to one of the classics of the motoring world; the AC/Shelby Cobra. His new design has featured in numerous web-sites (see 'Press' above for a selection of links), including 'Auto Express', 'Car Design News', 'Car Body Design', 'Autoblog', and has also featured on the 'Fast Lane Daily' TV channel.
